The Pacific Horticulture Society Updates with Dynamic New Website
I am excited about the news that Pacific Horticulture Society (PHS) is rounding up years of valuable content and placing it online for ease of viewing from desktops, tablets, and mobile devices; a great move for a garden society dedicated to providing gardening resources for Pacific gardeners.
With the redesign of their quarterly journal, it will be accessible to a much larger audience. The goal is to “broaden its appeal to young gardeners, designers, homeowners, and urban readers.” PHS will still be committed to its quality of information for its newcomers as well as for those who have been with them for a long time.
Another exciting change for those of us in the Pacific Northwest is PHS’s move to hire a new magazine editor, Lorene Edwards Forkner, a resident of our region. She will be broadening the magazine’s range further north from its California centered base. This is great news for those of us who garden in Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia!
You can read their latest July 2012 issue online.
