Mother Earth News Fair

PUYALLUP — Today I am attending the Mother Earth News Fair at the Puyallup Fairgrounds in our beautiful state of Washington. I am excited to see the demos and workshops on renewable energy, small-scale agriculture, green building and gardening.
I confess, my interest lies mostly in the gardening. With 150 workshops, there is much for the organic gardener, or those wishing to go green. On the schedule are workshops and demos on keeping chickens in the garden, seed starting, city farming, grow your own medicine cabinet, edible front yards, and more. I am having a hard time choosing what I want to see, hear and learn. You will come away from this fair with ideas, inspiration and a new outlook on living more sustainably, a must for our future.
