I like to advocate buying locally, keep our money home to help boost our economy. I will add to this list for places that keep our money here in the Northwest, or U.S. made.

For less then 30 dollars you can give a membership to the Pacific Horticulture Society which includes a year's subscription to the Pacific Horticulture magazine.

Check out our list of Nurseries in Oregon, Washington and British Columbia. Don't buy gifts of tools from the big box stores, buy them from your local garden nursery. Better yet buy some quality tools from handforged in Oregon company—Red Pig Tools.
