GROWING GUIDE

Geographic Origin: Europe, Caucasus.
Plant Group: Herbs.
Hardiness: Sunset zones: All. USDA zones: 4-9.
Mature size: Height: 18-24 inches (45-60 cm). Width: 12 inches (30 cm).
Flowering period: Summer.
Flowering attributes: Daisy-like flowers with white ray floret surround the yellow disk florets in the center.
Leaf attributes: Hairy basal leaves.
Light: Full sun.
Soil: Light, well-drained soil.
Feeding: None needed.
Propagation Methods: Sow seed in late winter or early spring 68°F (20°C). | Divide in spring. | Basal cuttings in spring. | Softwood cuttings in early summer.

Rainy Side Notes

This was a favorite of Victorian gardens and still is used often in the ornamental garden as well as the herb garden.
