Rainy Side Notes

Maurandya ‘Victoria Falls’ is a beautiful trailing plant, a great choice for hanging baskets and containers. Although it is a tender perennial in the Pacific Northwest, it winters over in a large pot protected by a deck cover during normal winters in my garden. Normally it is grown as an annual, or as a perennial when wintered over inside. It may be hardy to 15° F, dying to the ground after frosts and resprouting in spring, although our winter wet might kill it. It may be worth an experiment to see if it will winter over in milder areas of the Pacific Northwest.
