Geographic Origin: Garden.
Plant Group: Shrubs.
Hardiness: Sunset zones: 2-10, 14-24. USDA: zones 5-8.
Mature size: Height: 6 inches (15 cm). Width: 18 inches (45 cm).
Flowering period: Winter to mid-spring.
Flowering attributes: White with burgundy-brown tips on urn-shape flowers.
Leaf attributes: Linear, bright green leaves.
Growth habit: Compact rounded.
Light: Full sun to partial shade.
Soil: Sandy, humus rich soil.
Feeding: Little to no fertilizing in the maritime Northwest.
Propagation Methods: Take semi-ripe cuttings in midsummer.
Pruning Methods: Prune in spring to keep in shape.

Rainy Side Notes

This brightens up the winter garden with it's snowy white blooms. Looks good throughout the year with its evergreen foliage. Pruning is a must to keep this plant from getting an open center and to keep its rounded mound shape.
