GROWING GUIDE Geographic Origin:
Garden.
Flowering period: July-August Flowering attributes: Amethyst urn-shaped flowers on long racemes. Leaf attributes: Whorled, linear golden leaves. Growth habit: Compact rounded Light: Full sun Soil: Sandy, humus rich soil. Feeding: Little to no fertilizing in the maritime Northwest. Propagation Methods: Semi-ripe cuttings mid-summer Pruning Methods: Prune after blooms start to fade. Rainy Side NotesI wouldn't plant a lot of these together the color would probably be too much. I do like it next to the lavender on top of the rock wall. The yellow foliage turns red and gold in winter adding needed color to the winter garden.
