After a very long absence, I am back.

Due to a variety of reasons, I did very little gardening last year. Fibromyalgia flare-ups and migraines, due to stress at work (thanks to an increasingly irrational and incompetent supervisor), and worry about my mother's health, kept me side-lined. The garden is overgrown with weeds, and many things died from neglect.

The Supervisor From The 9th Level of Hell is retiring the end of January (THANK GOD!), and a lot of stress is gone just realizing that. I hope to tackle the garden again, and start my cyber-bike-journey again.

I am starting a new venture into cross stitch design, and plan to use a lot of plants, leaves and flowers in the designs.

I hope to be a frequent visitor to this site again--I missed it! I will be going to the Flower & Garden show again this year, looking for inspiration, attending seminars, and relaxing in gardeining beauty for 5 glorious days.

In the garden, I've noticed snowdrops appearing, and little green nubbins that might be mini daffodils or little Iris reticulata, buds on the Indian Plum, tiny, tightly furled red buds on the Red Flowering Current. Soon there will be flowers to bring quiet joy to late winter.

Let me kindle your desire for weeding, just think of each weed as a switch of your supervisors hair, each little dandelion, a hunk of chubby arm that you need to pinch out, soon you will be loving weeding. It is so rewarding to clean each square foot of weeds and lovingly place seeds of veggies and flowers that give rewards for your diligence. Gardening is healing. It heals all types of illness, shortcomings, and frustration...
