Dan laughed when he heard a shrill scream this weekend...I was watering the worm bins when a nice big mouse...jumped out. We made some insulated worm bins this winter...(now today it is snowing) and everything was going along nicely. I notice that the worms look decimated. Mice are omnivores correct? I live near woods and nice places for them to hide...how do I get rid of them. I have used the zapper with success but never seen them in the bins before when they were out in the open...thoughts, ideas...fellow screams!
Hi all after long absence. Sunny |

I haven't seen mice in the compost bin, but there is a definate hole at the base--I tried plugging it with a peice of wood but then they just dug a longer run along side, so finally I wedged a sturdy 1/2 inch size wire webbing under the base extending out past the end of the run and put bricks on top of it and so far they haven't built another entrance--or it might be a chipmunk
