As some of you now I've been experimenting with coffee grounds for slug control. I write about my experience on Muck About Northwest. Take a peek if you would like to know my anecdotal conclusions.

Thanks for the clue on where to get additional coffee grounds, one cuppa day doesnt prouduce enough grounds for dispatching slugs around one hosta. One other remotely related question: You mention muck boots. Do they repell mud? I wear orthopedic shoes whose soles are quickly loaded with "chocolate" droppings in each and every small canyon carved all over the sole. If muck boots are less receptive to holding on to thoes muddy treats, I am very interested.

My comment on the muck boots, was a joke. I can't help you there. However there are a lot of garden clogs that don't have the deep ridges where mud gets stuck.
