Once again today the Kitsap Sun proves that it has the best vegetable/eatable columns in Western Washington newspapers.
Ann Lovejoy contributes: "Tomatoes on Seawater Seem Sweeter" The headline writer didn't read far enough since the seawater is only in the first two paragraphs. The rest of the column is on "grafted" tomato plants she is growing from Long House Plants in Cottage Grove, OR. Chris Smith's column this week is: "There Comes a Time to Harvest" Chris gives harvest hints on a dozen vegetables. |

Grafted tomatoes??? How would you do that? Its a whole new concept to me. I understand the rationale for doing it, but not the process, since one tends to "support you tomato plant", but dont mess with it!
