I wanted information about culture of the Toona tree as I have one that is 5 years old. Much to my surprise, I Googled it and discovered that it was identified on the Rainy Side Gardeners site! Cedrela sinensis. I first saw a bank of these trees growing in an abandoned quarry on the outskirts of Aukland, N.Z. in November, thier early spring, and the leaves are a brilliant pink on burgundy stems. Its growth habit is tall columns and I wonder if it needs any pruning or maintainence as it suckers freely, and I am not quite sure when to cut those suckers off, or if it needs other attention.
