Rainy Side Notes
S. 'Saturn' has striking foliage of dark maroon leaves that look like a dollop of guacamole was spooned into the center. The foliage pairs amazingly with many other plants. In this terra cotta pot I teamed it with other rich foliage plants like the banana—Musa 'Zebrina', and two more coleus cultivars—S. 'Pineapple' and S. 'Freckles'. The low growing Sedum lineare, draped down the sides of the pot. Not one flower bloomed in this container and yet it was very colorful. S. 'Saturn' looks exceptional with foliage of other plants that have colors that match the yellow-green centers of the coleus. Other plants with burgundy leaves or flowers blend well with this plant also.
