These merchants are not in the Northwest, but are popular among Northwest gardeners. Note that some of them are from the extreme northeastern US, where summer conditions aren't much different than our own.
Shepherd Ogden's Vermont company offers a wide variety of vegetable, herb, and flower seed; but they are especially known for all the salad greens they carry. Their Web pages offer a lot of extra information for the home gardener.
