This is my new must have plant, which I don't yet have. Am planning to buy it for me, in my fenced garden, but would also like to put some in clients' gardens, some non fenced...so, tasty for deer, or not?

I haven't seen any lists with that particular lobelia on it, but I did find two lists that said that other perennial and annual lobelias were seldom eaten by deer. I do know that slugs like to eat them, at least the annual one and the other more common perennial ones I've tried.

Thanks. I only found two lobelia tupa on my trip so I think I will be planted them in deer-free areas for now. I saw them planted in almost every garden I visited though (including nursery display gardens).
