Dark blue flowers on 8 inch spikes.
Leaf attributes:
Gold to cream margins with shades of gray-green centers on small leaves. In spring new leaves have brown and khaki hues.

Moist soil, will tolerate poor soils.
Feeding:
Apply compost or manures thinly over the soil after pruning the plants.

Feeding:
When necessary, cut foliage back to the ground after flowering to rejuvenate the foliage. Large areas can be mowed; in small areas, use pruning shears or weed trimmer. Trim back above ground runners before they take root where not wanted. About every third year, thin out plants to reduce the chance of crown rot. Prune out any non variegated leaves.
