Small ½ inch white flowers with pink centers, borne along one side of the stem.

Aster lateriflorus 'Prince' is similar to the species, but the foliage is a beautiful dark purple. Throughout the growing season, it adds color with its dark foliage and later in summer with it small white flowers with pink centers.
