Europe, Russia, and Asia.

Flowering period:
Early to mid-summer.
Flowering attributes:
Lilac-blue flowers on up to 30-inch stems.
'Alba' — white.
'Blue' — sky blue.
'Chettle Charm' — white fading to light blue on edges.

Lance-shaped, bright green leaves.

Soil:
Moist, fertile, well-drained soil, with neutral ph.
Feeding:
Side-dress with compost or composted manures. Give a light feeding with a well-balanced liquid fertilizer after cutting back first flush of flowers.
Propagation Methods:
Sow seed in late spring outdoors. Indoors, sow seed in mid January at 68 F (20 C), with germination in 8 to 14 days. | Division in spring or fall.

Campanula comes from the Latin word campana, meaning a bell, and referring to the shape of the flowers. Persicifolia means with leaves like a peach tree.
This species is a popular cut flower in Europe. Having used them in my own vases as a cut flower, I can see why. Harvest the flowers when the flower buds are colored and swollen. They can live in a vase for ten days to two weeks. Keep the cut flowers away from fresh fruit.
C. persicifolia is well behaved and easy to grow. Divide often enough to prevent decline of plant.
