Rainy Side Notes
F. 'Lady Boothby' was hybridized in 1939 by Raffill and was named after the first British Fuchsia Society's president, Lady Boothby. She became president after the Queen Mary urged a society be formed and suggested Lady Boothby be the first president.
This does best as a four feet tall climber. Since it tends to flop over it is best to give it something to lean on. Beautiful medium single flowers stand out on this fuchsia where it rests upon a large rhododendron in my garden.
