Rainy Side Notes
No one knows who bred this compact and shrubby little beauty, or when it was introduced; however, it is thought to be an American born fuchsia. ‘Little Beauty' is a prolific bloomer; it keeps going and going. The purple and fuchsia colors of the flowers are bright and clear—reason enough to grow it. The colors are at their best when grown in the shade.
In my courtyard garden, this cultivar is nestled in next to a Rosa gallica 'Versicolor'. Although the fuchsia is not readily seen in my garden, it is a nice surprise to find. This one is certainly one of my favorites, especially true when I'm not looking at any other fuchsia.
